Hello lovely people! I’ve got a sweet little stunner of a day to share with you.
I fist connected with Ellie and Logan through my listing at A Practical Wedding and our excitement about this day was pretty instant. They let me know that they appreciated how our approach focused on the couple and didn’t make the groom look like a “prop” the entire time. I definitely got a chuckle out of their email and knew they were our kind of people.
They already had a really lovely life established together. They had bought their first home in east Nashville (it is SO cute) and are proud parents of a sweet Australian Shepherd named Blue. They wanted their day to be an easygoing, laidback celebration without a lot of the traditional wedding fuss.
Can I say that this day was the epitome of chill? It was intimate and minimalist. The day flowed so naturally from moment to moment. A very sweet ceremony opened up into a super casual cocktail hour (that they mingled in!) and onto an epic party. The schedule felt so fluid and they really lived up to their plan of focusing on the connection with their people.
I LOVED their entire style, from her open-back gown to their mix of greenery and geometric pieces all over the venue. They rocked gorgeous rings with emerald green stone/detailing. THE FOOD. I don’t know that I’ve posted THIS many photos of food but the catering served the most delicious Mexican street tacos (and it has set the bar for wedding food SO high for me!). You could say we definitely shot this reception on full, happy bellies. The night ended with them singing Kanye West’s Bound 2 into each other’s faces and it was epic.
