Who said rainy weather is all bad? Certainly not this photographer. In fact, I was hoping for a rain storm to come to BG because that would mean that Kaitlynne and Lucas would finally come to BG to shoot with me! You see, Lucas is a farmer and he works incredibly hard. However when it rains, he usually has to take about 2 days off to wait for conditions to dry. One big storm + a rare weekend off for me = getting to spend an amazing afternoon with these two.
They inquired and booked pretty immediately after me posting a friend’s wedding (shout out to Brittany and Zeke!). I knew from our correspondences that they were going to be a blast to work with. Their energies as individuals and chemistry as a couple made the session an absolute breeze. They played with each other and talked the entire time. She calls him Lucy when he’s being a diva. He gets the biggest grin when she looks at him. They pretty much can’t keep their hands off each other.
We explored the Three Lions Garden center which was GORGEOUSLY lit up with overcast sky. The colors were so rich I found myself overshooting by quite a bit. I couldn’t resist! We then met a local dairy farm where we continued to explore and get to know each other better. At one point they bought me some ice cream and we just candidly talked about their jobs and hopes about their wedding. They expressed how much they trusted me to get the big moments and all of the little ones in between. It meant so much to hear why I was the right fit and to know more about their values as a couple. Oh and the ice cream was absolutely delish ;]
Thank you two for coming all the way to BG so I could photograph your brilliance as a couple. I cannot wait to capture more of your sweetness in a couple weeks!

Carrie G.
Love the entire portrait session by the barn.
