Lots of character and chemistry in this post, folks! Caitlin and Luke are a dynamic duo from Nashville who were looking for someone to cover their wedding in Bowling Green. I pretty immediately looked Caitlin up and saw that we had several very awesome friends in common. So as you can imagine, I had my hand way up!
I got to meet Caitlin at Spencer’s in Bowling Green and let me tell you, my notes are a mess! (in the best way)! There is so much to say about them as individuals and as a a couple. They are both so driven and joyful. The wedding had already been very planned by the time we met. I wrote like crazy to try to catch up!
Caitlin is a jack-of-all-trades creative (singer, dancer, photographer, designer, marketing, I’M SURE I LEFT OFF 100 MORE THINGS) and Luke is more into computers, environmental science and city planning (you catch my vague drift). They compliment each other fantastically. He is incredibly sincere, warm, and sensitive. She is expressive, empathetic, and brave. His family is from the north and she described him as a hugger and a cryer. Caitlin grew up here in BG with a family immersed in performance and music. They are the kind of couple that despite their star power, would much rather spend free time playing trivia, dominating the escape game, or relaxing at home with one another.
Their first date was at their best friends’ wedding. Yep, you heard that right. He sneakily proposed while they danced to records in their living room. Right?! TOO SWEET.
For our session, we met up for a glass of wine at Wino’s in Bowling Green. It was a wonderful opportunity to chat, loosen up, and get creative in the space. We then meandered to the Fountain Square in Bowling Green. Posing in front of the Capitol brought back nostalgia for one of their earliest times meeting each other while she was backstage after a show she was performing in.
I just loved how much they talked, played, and flirted with one another. In one frame they looking all hollywood iconic and the next they are swinging each other around laughing their asses off. It was definitely MY kind of session.
You two, I had an amazing time getting to know you and to photograph your wonderful personality as a couple! Cheers to your happiness and love!
xx,
