A lot of gorgeous in one post, folks! Lindsey reached out to me shortly after our move back to Bowling Green, KY! A photographer herself, she enjoyed our emphasis on natural light and lightly posed portraits. Although I don’t do senior portraits all that often, I knew we would be a fantastic fit! A family friend lent us their property and l from the beginning of the shoot working with Lindsey was a blast. She’s a kind, sweet soul who took direction amazingly well. We roamed the beautiful property and talked about photography, her excitement about graduating, and her farmer boyfriend (who even joined us for a few shots toward the end :p).
The session reminded me of times back when I was in highschool. My girlfriends and I would run around with our canon snapshots posing for each other and uploading them onto myspace or livejournal. There were no “selfies” (at least taken with one’s camera phone) and we had to rely on each other to take photos that made the other look cute. I had a sudden realization that I probably learned to pose from these days. Instead of simply rotating a camera towards our own face, we had to plan out a shoot and have fun with one another.
As you’ll see I took a million photos! I couldn’t help it! She has so much personality and made my job so easy!
If you’re a graduating senior or parent looking to get senior portraits of your child, please get in touch with me! My approach to portraits is to keep things as relaxed and natural as possible. I want to showcase their genuine personality so that you can cherish this incredibly precious time in their lives for years to come.
